This is the image I came up with for the article 'This column will change your life'. After reading the article itself, it seemed very factual, lots of figures and it was based around a serious topic. I felt that to draw in other readers, a simple illustrative drawing could do that. It's a silly drawing of a bag of money hanging off the moon, as if it got caught, this idea was generated from the sentence, "...in the form of £1 coins, stretch several times, to the moon and back". I wanted to balance the serious, structured text with a scribbly, simple drawing that it can all circle, making it maybe a lighter read, and more visual (perhaps making it more understanding).

When I read this article, it was definitely very much like 'agony aunt'. I felt the best image for this particular article was an image of a doctor. Simple, classic and people would know what type of article it was. I was going to just get an image from google, but I thought that a nice illustration of a doctor would also be quite friendly and approachable. Seeing as there is already a large photographic image on the same page, I thought having an illustration will be an effective way to ensure the reader doesn't get confused with both articles.
